Leaking or Blocked Drains that can cause Structural Damage and Damp Penetration

To most people a drainage system is ‘out of sight out of mind’ and the problems that leaking drains can cause is totally under estimated, sometimes until a major problem occurs. A defective or blocked drain can leak water and over a period of time can de-stable the soil around the foundations of your property and cause major structural problems. It can also cause damp penetration inside your ground floor rooms causing further costly damage or decay. Your drainage system is the only means of extracting foul and waste water away from you property and if you suspect that there might be a problem you should call us immediately to either unblock them or carry out a CCTV survey to investigate the problem.

We have specialised vehicles with very powerful jet-washing and de-scaling equipment to quickly clear blockages. The most up to date CCTV cameras are used to carry out an in-depth survey inside the pipes. This will show any defects within the drainage system that may need attention and repairs can be carried out without delay. A detailed written report is issued, together with a video tape and our estimate for carrying out repairs.

In most cases drainage systems can be repaired by installing a structural resin liner within the pipes. The liner is coated in resin and inserted into the pipe by our experienced technicians who then insert an inflator tube, which remains in place until the resin has cured. The tube is then removed and the pipe is left with a very strong and resilient liner, in the process saving hundreds of pounds not having to excavate and replace drains.

On occasion, when drainage has collapsed, there may be no choice but for us to excavate and replace the pipe work. We can also build new inspection chambers, soak-aways and gullies. Whatever the problem Tapco DrainCare Services can deal with it.

In many cases, problems with drains may be covered by your home insurance and if you wish, we will deal with your insurance company directly.
