Symptoms

Leaking plumbing and rain penetration can affect almost any location in your property and is usually the result of a leaking water pipe or a building fault. Staining will normally occur around the affected area, which will expand in size the more the water spreads. This should not be ignored because if the fault is not rectified the plaster and surrounding materials will start to perish, to the extent that ceilings could collapse, and timbers will decay, considerably increasing the cost every day it is left.

Treatment

Our qualified damp surveyor (CRDS) will diagnose the cause of the problem and submit a detailed report together with our recommendations and estimate for the repairs, which if you wish, can be submitted directly to your insurance company. We will immediately recommend measures to stop any further water ingress and to ventilate and dry out the damp areas. It is possible that the damaged areas will have to be replaced and re-plastered and that re-decorating will have to be carried out, all of which we can undertake, immediately we are instructed by you or your insurance company.
