Tapco Home-Dry Services are specialists at preventing damp penetration through walls that are below ground level or are subject to other conditions that can cause lateral damp penetration. This aspect of work is sometimes carried out as a part of other damp proofing works, which may be recommended by our surveyor. We have been established since 1971 and our surveyors are qualified damp surveyors (CRDS) who will advise you of the cause of the problem and the best solution to solve it. You will be issued with a detailed report, our recommendations and cost of the works.

How We Do It

Damp proofing below ground level, often referred to as ‘tanking’ is very specialist work and is carried out by our trained and experience operatives who have many years experience. We use a system which is alkali-resistant synthetically modified cement. This is mixed with styrene-butadiene and water, producing a waterproof coating against both moisture and hydrostatic ground water. After only 24 hours it can then be plastered by us, in accordance with our damp proofing specification, ready for decorating. We are Sovereign Chemical approved contractors.
